Wookieepedia: The\u00a0Star Wars<\/i>\u00a0Wiki<\/b>\u00a0is an\u00a0online encyclopedia\u00a0for information on the\u00a0Star Wars<\/i>\u00a0universe[1]<\/sup>\u2014including information on all the films, as well as\u00a0Clone Wars<\/i>,\u00a0The Clone Wars<\/i>\u00a0and its\u00a0introductory film,\u00a0Rebels<\/i>, the\u00a0Star Wars<\/i>\u00a0expanded universe, and any upcoming\u00a0Star Wars<\/i>\u00a0material. It is a specialized wiki created to be an extensive encyclopedia of the\u00a0Star Wars<\/i>\u00a0universe with some articles reaching up to 60,000 words,[2]<\/sup>\u00a0and is written almost entirely from an in-universe perspective. The name Wookieepedia is a\u00a0portmanteau\u00a0of\u00a0Wookiee\u00a0and encyclopedia, a pun on the name of\u00a0Wikipedia<\/i>. The logo, too, is a\u00a0visual pun\u00a0showing the incomplete second\u00a0Death Star\u00a0as opposed to Wikipedia’s incomplete “jigsaw logo”.<\/p>\n

It is a fan-made version of the\u00a0Holonet, a\u00a0database\u00a0maintained by\u00a0Lucasfilm[3]<\/sup>\u00a0to track everything in the\u00a0Star Wars<\/i>\u00a0universe and ensure\u00a0continuity\u00a0within it.[4]<\/sup><\/p>\n
